My Aunt use to make this cake all the time. It is delicious and easy to make.
Keep extra copies of the recipe on hand for your friends. They will be asking you for it.
Aunt Glady’s Coca Cola Cake
INGREDIENTS:
2 Cups Self Rising Flour
2 Cups Sugar
3 Tablespoons Cocoa
1 Stick Margarine
1 Cup Oil
1 Cup Coca Cola
½ Cup Buttermilk
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
2 Eggs
FROSTING:
1 Stick Margarine
3 Tablespoons Cocoa
6 Tablespoons Coca Cola
1 Box Confectioners sugar
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Cup Chopped nuts
CAKE:
Combine flour, sugar and cocoa in large bowl.
Heat margarine, oil and coke to boiling point.
Pour over flour mixture, add remaining ingredients.
Cook 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. Use a 13x9 inch pan.
FROSTING:
Combine 1 Stick Margarine, 3 Tablespoons Cocoa and 6 Tablespoons Coca Cola.
Heat to boiling; pour over sugar.
Add remaining ingredients. Spread over cake.
